I recently stayed at this hotel for my 30th birthday, expecting a relaxing spa break. The experience was mixed - my room issues were concerning, but the staff were eager to resolve them and the spa treatment was excellent. While I enjoyed the tasty dinner, the bar service was frustratingly slow. Overall, there are some strong points, but the organization could use improvement.

My initial room had two separate beds, and while I requested a double, the transition involved some inconveniences, including a lack of towels in the upgraded room. This affected my stay.

Once I addressed the initial room issue, the manager was very apologetic and offered free drinks, which was nice. However, the bar staff seemed overwhelmed, leading to lengthy waits.

While the Marriott Piccadilly Manchester has some positive aspects like a modern bar and restaurant area, my overall experience was disappointing. The hotel layout feels awkward, leading to long waits for elevators, and the rooms, although clean, show signs of age. The breakfast service could use improvement, but the staff in the dining areas were friendly and knowledgeable. I would suggest looking for better options in Manchester before settling here.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. The service was top-notch, especially with Cairo at the bar who really made our experience special. However, the dining situation during peak times was quite frustrating as we faced long queues. The location is convenient, but the facilities could use improvement, particularly the breakfast setup.
